Tasha is a dynamic author, speaker, trainer and educator. Her 15 years of experience in a variety of public health roles has provided her great insight into developing, implementing and managing wellness programs on the local, state and national level. She is a passionate. innovative health and wellness advocate for communities in her role as a Certified Community Health Worker (CHW) and Instructor in the state of Texas. She has a passion for helping healthcare workers and communities redefine Self Care and to help them remember to stay rooted in wellness so they can live their best quality of life.  Her podcast The CHW Crew, is the first and only CHW focused Podcast that has received accolades and downloads all over the globe. She has served on numerous committees and boards to support the CHW and healthcare workforce such as the Assistant Presiding Officer for the Texas Department of Health and Human Services Community Health Worker Advisory Board for two consecutive terms. She was recently awarded the Texas Woman's University Young Alumni Award that recognizes alumni who have outstanding records of achievement in their professions, communities or through public service. When her professional hat is taken off, Tasha is a dedicated wife and mom who enjoys nature and outdoors activities with with her family and friends.
